========================================================================= 多変数の微分関数の逆変換 ========================================================================= 皆さんは、極座標つまり $(x,y)$ と $(r , \theta)$ の変換行列(ヤコビアン)を見て [*]_ 、 .. [*] $r= \sqrt{x^2+y^2}, \theta = \tan^{-1}(y/x)$ ですね。 <tex> \dfrac{dr}{dx} \neq (\dfrac{dx}{dr})^{-1} \tag{##} </tex> であることに戸惑った経験はありませんか? そういうことができるのは、どんな時なのかということについて調べてみました。 具体例(2次元極座標) ========================= <tex> x = r \cos \theta, y = \sin \theta \tag{##} </tex> <tex> r= \sqrt{x^2+y^2}, \theta = \tan^{-1}(y/x) \tag{##} </tex> の微分形式を考えてみます。 <tex> \begin{pmatrix} d r \\ d \theta \end{pmatrix} &= \begin{pmatrix} \dfrac{dr}{dx} & \dfrac{dr}{dy} \\ \dfrac{d \theta}{dx} & \dfrac{d \theta}{dy} \end{pmatrix} \begin{pmatrix} d x \\ d y \end{pmatrix} \\ &= \begin{pmatrix} \dfrac{x}{\sqrt{x^2+y^2}} & \dfrac{y}{\sqrt{x^2+y^2}} \\ \dfrac{-y}{x^2+y^2} & \dfrac{x}{x^2+y^2} \end{pmatrix} \begin{pmatrix} d x \\ d y \end{pmatrix} \\ &= \begin{pmatrix} \cos \theta & \sin \theta \\ -\sin \theta /r & \cos \theta /r \end{pmatrix} \begin{pmatrix} d x \\ d y \end{pmatrix} \tag{##} </tex> そして逆変換は、 <tex> \begin{pmatrix} d x \\ d y \end{pmatrix} &= \begin{pmatrix} \dfrac{dx}{dr} & \dfrac{dx}{d \theta} \\ \dfrac{dy}{dr} & \dfrac{dy}{d \theta} \end{pmatrix} \begin{pmatrix} d r \\ d \theta \end{pmatrix} \\ &= \begin{pmatrix} \cos \theta & -r \sin \theta \\ \sin \theta & r \cos \theta \end{pmatrix} \begin{pmatrix} d r \\ d \theta \end{pmatrix} \tag{##} </tex> ですね。確かに、 <tex> \dfrac{dr}{dx} = \cos \theta \neq (\cos \theta)^{-1} = (\dfrac{dx}{dr})^{-1} \tag{##} </tex> <tex> \dfrac{d \theta}{dy} = \cos \theta/r \neq (r \cos \theta)^{-1} = (\dfrac{dy}{d \theta })^{-1} \tag{##} </tex> と逆関数の微分法は成り立っていないようです。 一般論 ========================== ここで、一般的な場合に拡張して関係を調べてみましょう。変数同士の変換行列のランクを落とさないと仮定して、 二対二組 $(a,b),(x,y)$ の変数間の変換を考えます。 <tex> \begin{pmatrix} da \\ db \end{pmatrix} = \begin{pmatrix} \dfrac{da}{dx} & \dfrac{da}{dy} \\ \dfrac{db}{dx} & \dfrac{db}{dy} \end{pmatrix} \begin{pmatrix} dx \\ dy \end{pmatrix} \tag{##} </tex> という関係が成立していたとすると、仮定より、 上式の行列は逆を持ちます。すると、 <tex> \begin{pmatrix} dx \\ dy \end{pmatrix} &= \dfrac{1}{\dfrac{da}{dx}\dfrac{db}{dy}-\dfrac{db}{dx}\dfrac{da}{dy}} \begin{pmatrix} \dfrac{db}{dy} & -\dfrac{da}{dy} \\ -\dfrac{db}{dx} & \dfrac{da}{dx} \end{pmatrix} \begin{pmatrix} da \\ db \end{pmatrix} \\ &\equiv J^{-1} \begin{pmatrix} \dfrac{db}{dy} & -\dfrac{da}{dy} \\ -\dfrac{db}{dx} & \dfrac{da}{dx} \end{pmatrix} \begin{pmatrix} da \\ db \end{pmatrix} \tag{##} </tex> となります。ここで記号 $\equiv$ はこれでヤコビアン $J$ を定義するという意味です。 これと、 <tex> \begin{pmatrix} dx \\ dy \end{pmatrix} = \begin{pmatrix} \dfrac{dx}{da} & \dfrac{dx}{db} \\ \dfrac{dy}{da} & \dfrac{dy}{db} \end{pmatrix} \begin{pmatrix} da \\ db \end{pmatrix} \tag{##} </tex> と比較します。すると、 <tex> J^{-1} \begin{pmatrix} \dfrac{db}{dy} & -\dfrac{da}{dy} \\ -\dfrac{db}{dx} & \dfrac{da}{dx} \end{pmatrix} &= \begin{pmatrix} \dfrac{dx}{da} & \dfrac{dx}{db} \\ \dfrac{dy}{da} & \dfrac{dy}{db} \end{pmatrix} \tag{##} </tex> という関係が成立します。 再び極座標 ================================ さて、得られた結果の検証をしてみましょう。 $(a,b,x,y) \to (r,\theta,x,y) $ とすると、 まず、式 $(4)$ より、 <tex> J = 1/r(\cos^2 \theta + \sin^2 \theta) = 1/r \tag{##} </tex> となります。はたして、等式は成り立つのでしょうか?式 $(11)$ の右辺は、 <tex> J^{-1} \begin{pmatrix} \dfrac{d \theta}{dy} & -\dfrac{dr}{dy} \\ -\dfrac{d \theta}{dx} & \dfrac{dr}{dx} \end{pmatrix} &= r \begin{pmatrix} \cos \theta/r & - \sin \theta \\ \sin \theta/r & \cos \theta \end{pmatrix} \\ &= \begin{pmatrix} \cos \theta & - r \sin \theta \\ \sin \theta & r \cos \theta \end{pmatrix} \\ &= \begin{pmatrix} \dfrac{dx}{dr} & \dfrac{dx}{d\theta} \\ \dfrac{dy}{dr} & \dfrac{dy}{d\theta} \end{pmatrix} \tag{##} </tex> 見事、成り立ちましたね。変数の数を増やし一般化してまとめておくと、 .. important:: N変数 $(x_i)$ からN変数 $(y_i)$ への変換はランク落ちしない限り、変換行列の逆行列を考えることによって、 逆変換が得られる。なお、この時には一般に $\dfrac{dy_i}{dx_j}= (\dfrac{dx_j}{dy_i})^{-1} $は成立しない。 では、熱力学でよく使われる変数の微分形はどうなのでしょう? いよいよ熱力学の話 ================================ なじみがあると思われる式から始めましょう。 <tex> dU = TdS -pdV \tag{##} </tex> この式は、一変数 $ U $ に対し、二変数 $S,V$ の関数となっています。 熱力学では、等温過程、等圧過程、定積過程、断熱過程など様々な経路を指定して、 その種々の量を計算するのでした。つまり、それは二変数の自由度を持っていた関数形に、 例えば、エントロピー $S$ の任意の関数 $g(S)$ を用いて、 <tex> dV = g(S)dS \tag{##} </tex> などの変化方向に制限をつけることになります。すると、なんと、 <tex> dU &= TdS -pdV \\ &= TdS -pg(S)dS \\ &= (T-pg(S))dS) \tag{##} </tex> より、 <tex> \dfrac{dU}{dS} &= (T-pg(S)) \\ (\dfrac{dS}{dU})^{-1} \tag{##} </tex> となり、お馴染みのインバース(逆数)の関係が出てきました。 もう一言付け足すとすれば、等積過程 $dV=0$ の場合、 $g(S)=0$ であり、 <tex> (\dfrac{dU}{dS})_V = T = (\dfrac{dS}{dU})_V^{-1} </tex> となります。これはお馴染みの関係ではないでしょうか? これもまたまとめておきます。 .. important:: 熱力学的関係式に於いて、ピストンの変化軌道を決定したら、1変数 $x$ から1変数 $y$ への変換となる。その変換が ランク落ちしない限り、変換の同じ過程(制限)の逆を考えることによって、 逆変換が得られる。なお、 この時には $\dfrac{dy}{dx}= (\dfrac{dx}{dy})^{-1} $は成立する。 つまり ======================== 今考えている変換が、一変数対一変数の時のみ逆数の関係が成立し、 多変数同士の変換では、変換行列の逆行列が正しい逆を与えるということのようです。 今日はこの辺で、お疲れ様でした。 @@author:クロメル@@ @@accept:2013-05-19@@ @@category:熱力学@@ @@id:invOfDifOfMPF@@
